We are PickTrip, an innovative travel planning platform redefining how people experience travel through AI and real-time collaboration technologies. We're currently seeking a Backend Engineer proficient in TypeScript and the NestJS framework to join us in building a responsive and intelligent travel planning platform.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using TypeScript and the NestJS framework
- Integrate and optimize Yjs, enabling real-time data collaboration via WebSocket
- Manage and enhance AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g., EC2, ECS, S3, RDS)
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams to implement features like real-time sync and instant notifications
- Design and optimize database schemas to ensure performance and stability
Requirements
- Proficiency in TypeScript and hands-on experience with NestJS
- Proven experience in developing RESTful APIs and independently designing endpoints
- Familiarity with real-time data streaming technologies such as Yjs and WebSocket
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and deployment/maintenance
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- A team player who thrives in collaborative environments
Nice to Have
- Understanding of backend needs for AI-driven products or collaborative tools
- Experience working on large-scale projects or high-concurrency systems
